Referring patients to Mooroolbark Specialist Centre:
Patients may be referred to any of the Endocrinologists at Mooroolbark Specialist Centre.
Please be aware that although we keep spaces available for new patients each week, there may be a wait for a new patient slot to become available.
Our Endocrinologists will triage referrals before booking an appointment to decide if the current wait time is suitable for the patient.
In order to ensure enough space is available for appointments for existing patients, some Doctors may close their books at times to new patients. Dr Miriam Bartlett is not currently accepting new patient referrals.
A non-exhaustive list of conditions treated by the Endocrinologists at Mooroolbark Specialist Centre is:
- Type 1 Diabetes
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Gestational Diabetes

- Hyperthyroidism
- Obesity
- Hypertension
- Adrenal Disorders
- Calcium Disorders

Please include with the referral any recent relevant pathology or radiology results.
If the referral is urgent, please inform the reception staff, as then the patient may be prioritised into appointment slots reserved for urgent referrals and/or placed on the waiting list. Please note that marking non-urgent referrals as urgent will not bump them up the list. To assist in triage, if writing an urgent referral, please state clearly the reason for the urgency.
