Anna is a Diabetes Nurse Educator who sees patients at MSC
Anna Peters joined us in mid-2024 and currently sees patients at our clinic on Fridays at least monthly. Anna is happy to see anyone, not just those who see the Endocrinologists in our clinic.
With over 18 years of clinical experience as a Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator, Anna has held positions at The Royal Children's Hospital, The Mercy Hospital for Women and Austin Health. In addition to her public service, Anna has dedicated the last decade to nurturing her private practice, where she offers personalised support to those navigating the complexities of Diabetes.
Anna understands that living with Diabetes presents many challenges. She takes pride in helping her clients gain confidence, feel less alone, and achieve simple and sustainable goals. It is important to Anna that her clients feel seen and heard. Anna has a special interest in working with people with Type 1 diabetes.
She is passionate about Diabetes & technology. As a certified pump trainer, she offers expertise in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. Anna also enjoys working with Type 2 diabetes, Gestational diabetes, Type 1 diabetes in pregnancy, LADA (Latent Autoimmune diabetes) and MODY (Mature onset diabetes of the young). She is committed to evidence-based education and understands that every person is their own individual with their own journey.
